Arden White is working with a leading UK-owned Contract Electronics Manufacturer experiencing strong growth to recruit an experienced Buyer to join their team at a new state-of-the-art facility. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern, clean manufacturing environment supporting high-profile sectors including aerospace, defence, space, transport and advanced technology.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end purchasing process including RFQs, order placement, and supplier follow-up
  • Place and progress purchase orders, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any supply issues
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support cost, quality, and delivery targets
  • Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and address delivery or quality concerns
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements
  • Maintain accurate supplier data including contact details, pricing, and payment terms
  • Support the onboarding of new suppliers and vendor setup processes
  • Communicate and manage non-conformances, ensuring effective resolution with suppliers and internal teams
  • Ensure high levels of accuracy and attention to detail across all procurement activities

Person Specification

  • Previous experience within electronics manufacturing, EMS, or electronic components preferred
  • Proven track record managing the full purchasing lifecycle
  • CIPS Level 3 or Level 5 qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong negotiation, sourcing and supplier management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word essential)
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational capability
