A regional medium sized Main Contractor is looking to grow their commercial team with a Senior Quantity Surveyor specialising in groundworks packages. With a busy pipeline of work across Norfolk, they are looking to expand their Commercial team due to new projects secured and a healthy tender pipeline. The business has a proven track record in the local area and works across the Heritage, Mixed-Use, Private Residential, Commercial and Healthcare sectors.
The successful candidate will lead the commercial function of their groundworks team, working on projects from early tender stages and pre-construction through to project completion. This role offers a clear pathway to commercial leadership with a structured programme for personal development.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Managing daily commercial management functions, including measurement & valuations, applications for payment, reconciling accounts, dealing with sub-contract orders and enquiries, through to practical completion of the project and settling final accounts.
- Occasionally undertaking estimating duties including pricing bids/tenders, bills of quantities and pre-tender site visits.
Desirable Experience:
- Minimum 5 years+ experience as a QS working for a Groundworks Sub-Contractor or Main Contractor.
- Repeat experience working on groundworks packages or exclusively for a groundworks specialist.
- BSc in Quantity Surveying or comparable qualification.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree, MSc or HNC in Quantity Surveying or comparable qualification.
