Collections Management

The role focuses on maximizing collections through effective engagement techniques while meeting client-established KPI targets. This includes monitoring payment behaviours, prioritising outreach to delinquent accounts, and implementing collection strategies developed through stakeholder consultation. When necessary, the position involves coordinating with enforcement agents and solicitors, serving as the primary liaison between these external parties and clients.

Cash Management and Reconciliation

A significant portion of the work involves minimising unallocated and unmatched cash by identifying payment sources, updating the UNO dashboard, and providing allocation details to facilitate proper posting. The role requires complex account reconciliations to establish accurate balances and collaborative work with treasury and the broader AR function to achieve cash targets.

Stakeholder Communication

The position requires leading regular meetings with both internal teams and external clients to discuss arrears status and collection strategies. Following these meetings, the specialist initiates actions with supporting functions like JBS, monitors progress, and reports outcomes at subsequent meetings. Maintaining current tenant contact information in systems ensures effective communication channels.

Reporting and Compliance

Monthly and quarterly report preparation for internal and external stakeholders forms a key deliverable, with emphasis on accurate arrears reporting and management information. All activities must align with best practice guidelines and ISAE-audited processes to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.

Team Collaboration

Active participation in team and department meetings (preferably face-to-face) contributes to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing both occupier and client experiences. This role requires balancing relationship management with analytical rigor, combining customer service orientation with firm collection practices to protect client interests while maintaining professional occupier relationships.
