Sewing Machinists Required Join a Growing Business!

Quest Employment are currently recruiting Sewing Machinists to join a growing and successful business specialising in the production of fabrics, covers and components for bespoke products. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous industrial sewing or machinist experience who are looking for a long-term role within a supportive and expanding manufacturing environment.

The Role

As a Sewing Machinist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabric components and finished products to customer specifications. The role will involve working with a range of materials and operating industrial sewing machines to achieve accurate, consistent results.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently.
  • Sewing and assembling fabric components to required specifications.
  • Following patterns, drawings, measurements and production instructions.
  • Measuring and cutting materials accurately where required.
  • Checking finished products for quality, accuracy and consistency.
  • Identifying and correcting defects or imperfections.
  • Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Working to production targets while maintaining quality standards.
  • Handling different fabrics and materials carefully to prevent damage.
  • Keeping the work area clean, organised and safe.
  • Working as part of a wider production team to meet daily requirements.
  • Following all company health & safety and quality procedures.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Sewing Machinist or Industrial Sewing Machinist.
  • Experience operating industrial sewing machines.
  • Good attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
  • The ability to work accurately and consistently.
  • Good hand-to-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • The ability to follow measurements, patterns and instructions.
  • A reliable and hardworking attitude.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Candidates with experience working with textiles, upholstery, soft furnishings, covers, garments or bespoke fabric products are particularly encouraged to apply.
