Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am - 4:30pm | Friday, 7:30am - 12:30pm

Quest Employment are currently recruiting for an experienced Closing Room Supervisor to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Northampton, NN1. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous supervisory experience within a footwear, garment, textile or manufacturing environment. The role would suit someone who has a strong eye for detail, understands production flow, and can support a team to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.

The Role

As a Closing Room Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring production targets, quality standards and workflow are maintained. Your duties may include:

  • Supervising the Closing Room team and supporting daily production
  • Monitoring quality standards throughout the department
  • Carrying out regular spot checks and ensuring work meets required standards
  • Allocating work based on team skills, priorities and production needs
  • Liaising with planning, managers and other departments to maintain production flow
  • Reporting any production issues or delays promptly
  • Supporting booking in and booking out processes where required
  • Providing guidance, support and constructive feedback to team members
  • Ensuring machinery, equipment and the room are maintained correctly
  • Supporting hands-on production work when required
  • Promoting a clean, organised and safe working environment
  • Following all health and safety procedures
