Quest Employment is currently seeking Manufacturing Operatives to join a reputable and expanding manufacturing business based in Brixworth. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking company offering full training, stability, and genuine long-term prospects, including the opportunity to secure a permanent role. You will be working in a specialist production setting where precision, consistency, and attention to detail are key.
Please note: This position will begin on a day shift (8:30am 5:00pm, Monday to Friday). Candidates must be fully flexible and prepared to transition onto a permanent shift rotation once offered a permanent contract, in line with operational needs.
Permanent Shift Patterns
- Monday to Friday | 6:00am 2:00pm
- Monday to Friday | 2:00pm 10:00pm
- Sunday to Thursday | 10:00pm 6:00am
30-minute unpaid break per shift. Enhanced pay rates apply upon successful transition to a permanent contract.
The Role
In this role, you will be an integral part of the production team, responsible for accurately preparing and blending both liquid and powdered materials in line with detailed manufacturing instructions. Key responsibilities include:
- Measuring and weighing raw materials with precision.
- Mixing and processing materials according to production specifications.
- Completing batch records and production documentation accurately.
- Handling and moving raw materials safely.
- Carrying out manual handling duties, including lifting heavier items.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping.
- Adhering strictly to Health & Safety procedures.
- Wearing all required PPE provided on site.
About You
We are looking for dependable and proactive individuals who take pride in delivering high-quality work. You will ideally have:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Confidence working with numbers and documentation.
- Good communication skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- The ability to safely carry out manual handling tasks.
- Flexibility to work future shift patterns.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or production (preferred).
- Experience within a COSHH or chemical environment (advantageous).
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport due to site location.
