Pertemps Milton Keynes are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a leading distribution client based in Northampton. We are looking for professional and reliable drivers with a minimum of 1 year's Class 1 driving experience.
With immediate starts available, regular ongoing work and excellent rates of pay, this is a fantastic opportunity for drivers looking for stability and strong earning potential.
Location: Northampton
Shift Patterns: Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday
Hours: Approximately 50 hours per week
Start Times: Between 04:00 and 12:00
The Role
- Multi-drop deliveries of palletised goods to stores
- Typically completing 2-6 drops per shift
- Delivering across London and surrounding areas
- Using a pump truck to safely unload deliveries
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with transport legislation
- Providing a professional and courteous service to customers
Pay Rates
- £18.52 per hour
- £27.78 per hour overtime (paid after 8 hours worked)
Requirements
- A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- A minimum of 1 year's HGV Class 1 driving experience
- Previous multi-drop experience is advantageous but not essential
- No more than 6 penalty points
- No CU, DD, DR or TT endorsements
- A professional and reliable approach to work
