Our client, based in Northampton, are looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Facilities Manager to join their busy warehouse. You will work with staff to create a safe, compliant and efficient working environment.
The key reponsibilities:
Lead the site's Health & Safety risk management strategy and continuous improvement plans
Ensure compliance with all relevant UK legislation, HSE guidance, and company standards
Develop, review, and maintain risk assessments, safe systems of work, and site procedures
Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences, identifying corrective and preventive actions
Lead internal audits and support external audits by customers, insurers and regulatory bodies
Oversee the maintenance and operation of all site soft facilities and services
Manage contracts relating to security, cleaning, waste management, pest control, utilities and grounds maintenance
The skills & qualities needed:
NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum requirement)
Previous experience in a Health & Safety management role within logistics, warehousing, manufacturing or a similar environment
Strong understanding of UK H&S legislation and compliance requirements
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Ability to influence behavioural change and drive a positive safety culture
