The Role: As an Intermediate Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing cost estimates and tender submissions across a range of construction projects. This includes working with subcontractors, developers, and private clients. You will be involved in take-offs, bills of quantities, cost planning, and tender preparation, contributing to projects from initial enquiry through to contract award.
- Set up and manage estimation files for incoming enquiries
- Prepare tenders using drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Maintain organised and accessible project records
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and specialists throughout the tender process
- Obtain and manage quotations to support tender submissions
- Carry out accurate quantity take-offs using relevant tools and software
- Deliver estimating tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing insight and professional advice
- Revise estimates based on feedback and project changes
- Identify value engineering opportunities to meet client budgets
- Handle incoming communications and support general administration

The Ideal Candidate: Solid understanding of construction and building processes. Previous experience in an estimating role (preferred). Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). High attention to detail and accuracy. Proactive, motivated, and eager to learn. Willingness to contribute ideas and improve processes.
