We're looking for a Conveyancer to join our in-house legal on a fixed term basis.
The purpose of the role is to manage the legal process of residential property transactions, primarily the sale of new-build homes and the purchase of part exchange properties, ensuring a smooth and efficient process in line with company standards and customer satisfaction goals What you'll do as Conveyancer Manage and run plot sales, part exchanges, and purchases for designated Group companies to ensure smooth and timely property transactions.
Prepare individual plot documentation and manage the transfer or lease process to facilitate accurate and efficient legal completion.
Conduct title checks and report on part exchange transactions to identify risks and support informed decision-making.
Build and maintain effective relationships with purchaser's solicitors, the Group Legal Department, and regional operating companies to promote collaboration and resolve issues efficiently.
Monitor the legal process to ensure timely and accurate completion of transactions and compliance with procedures.
Handle miscellaneous property queries and plot-related matters to provide responsive support and maintain service standards.
Carry out Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks in accordance with legal requirements to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risk.
Mentor and guide Assistant Conveyancers to support their development and enhance team performance.
Work collaboratively with peers to foster a cohesive and high-performing team environment.
What experience do I need?
Excellent knowledge of residential conveyancing, practice, and procedure.
Previous experience handling plot sales for a residential house builder (in-house or private practice) is advantageous.
Strong computer literacy and confident telephone manner.
Ability to work independently without secretarial support.
Calm, organised, and capable of working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Legal qualification or relevant conveyancing experience preferred.
