Quest Employment are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Router Programmer / Operator on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing business specialising in bespoke panel processing and precision CNC machining. This is a great opportunity for a skilled CNC professional who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work and is looking for a long-term role within a friendly and supportive team. You will be working in a clean, heated and well-ventilated workshop, producing bespoke components for a range of industries.
The Role
As a CNC Router Programmer / Operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC machinery to manufacture components to customer specifications. Duties will include:
- Programming and operating 3-Axis CNC routers
- Machining MDF, plywood, melamine-faced boards and other sheet materials
- Reading and working from technical drawings and job specifications
- Carrying out routine machine maintenance and daily checks
- Checking quality throughout the manufacturing process
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working area
- Working closely with the wider team to meet production deadlines
- Following all health and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years experience programming and operating 3-Axis CNC routers
- Experience working with MDF, plywood, melamine-faced boards and similar materials
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Good understanding of CNC machine maintenance and care
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team
- Joinery or woodworking experience would be advantageous
