Quest Employment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for an experienced Closing Room Supervisor to join their production team in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in footwear, textiles, garments, or a similar manufacturing environment who is passionate about quality, team leadership, and maintaining an efficient production process.
The Role
As the Closing Room Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the department, ensuring production runs smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of quality, productivity, and safety. You'll lead by example, supporting your team and working closely with other departments to keep production on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Closing Room team.
- Allocate work effectively to maximise productivity and meet production deadlines.
- Monitor product quality and carry out regular inspections throughout the production process.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer expectations.
- Liaise with production planning, management and other departments to maintain workflow.
- Identify and report production issues, implementing solutions where possible.
- Support booking-in and booking-out processes as required.
- Coach, motivate and support team members to achieve their best performance.
- Ensure machinery, equipment and work areas are maintained to a high standard.
- Provide hands-on support within the department during busy periods.
- Promote excellent housekeeping and ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
