Pay Range/details: £39,825.03 per annum (salary including on call standby 1:4)

Omega are supporting a leading facilities management provider in the recruitment of an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join the team to work on a leading supermarket contracts. The role will involve maintaining and repairing a range of electrical, mechanical plant and equipment in retail outlets, undertaking regular planned store visits to complete reactive, PPMs and minor repairs as requested by the customer (including non-electrical).

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules within agreed timescales, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
  • Deliver both reactive and planned maintenance on catering and bakery equipment.
  • Carry out emergency lighting and fire alarm testing, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Undertake general building repairs and maintenance as required across customer sites.
  • Diagnose faults in plant and equipment, identifying non-repairable issues and recommending suitable replacement solutions.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with relevant regulations and standards.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 236 Part 1 & 2, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification.
  • AM2 and/or 2391 certification.
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a commercial or retail environment.

Ideal Candidate

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience using PDA/mobile job management systems.
  • Ability to maintain and repair a broad range of electrical and mechanical equipment, including commercial catering and bakery equipment.
  • Previous experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance in a retail or multi-site environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
