Administrator
We are recruiting on behalf of an established, family-run business in Northallerton who are looking to recruit an organised, reliable and proactive Administrator to join their team. This is a key administrative role, working closely with the Sales and Installation teams to ensure projects progress smoothly from the initial handover through to successful completion. You will take ownership of the administrative coordination of installation projects, managing information, documentation, orders and communications accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinating pre- and post-installation processes, ensuring arrangements and documentation are completed accurately and on time
Monitoring installation projects through internal systems, identifying and escalating potential issues
Acting as the first point of contact for installation-related administrative queries
Communicating with colleagues, customers, suppliers and other relevant parties
Answering telephone calls and emails, dealing with enquiries promptly or directing them appropriately
Processing Sales and Purchase Orders accurately and within required timescales
Liaising with Sales and Installation teams to ensure smooth project handovers
Proactively identifying and resolving potential issues to support successful project delivery
Providing general administrative support across departments
Maintaining a professional and positive approach with customers, colleagues and suppliers
Carrying out additional ad hoc duties as required
About You
Highly organised, proactive and detail-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, take ownership and remain calm in a busy environment
Confident communicator with strong customer service skills, able to work independently and as part of a team, with good computer skills and the ability to learn new processes quickly
Previous administration or coordination experience would be advantageous, particularly within an installation, construction, manufacturing, trade or customer service environment, although attitude and willingness to learn are equally important
Manual Handling
The role involves a degree of manual handling, including moving, lifting, carrying and organising installation-related materials, equipment, stock or deliveries. Appropriate training and safe working practices will be provided, with all activities carried out in accordance with company procedures and health and safety requirements.
