The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive HR Advisor to join the People Team of a successful and growing multi-site retail business.
This varied, hands-on role offers exposure across the organisation, providing the opportunity to partner with managers, support employee relations matters and help deliver an exceptional colleague experience.
Working within a fast-paced and collaborative HR function, youll build strong relationships, provide practical and commercially focused HR advice, and play a key role in driving people initiatives and best practice across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, performance and probation matters.
- Provide practical HR advice and support to managers and colleagues.
- Coach managers to build confidence and capability in handling people issues.
- Support absence management processes and long-term absence cases.
- Maintain accurate HR records, systems and employee documentation.
- Coordinate HR administration and employee lifecycle activities.
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies and best practice.
- Assist with management training, employee engagement initiatives and HR projects.
- Produce HR reports and analyse people data to identify trends and improvements.
- Drive process improvements through digital tools, automation and AI solutions.
About You
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor or generalist HR role.
- Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills.
- Organised, proactive team player.
- CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualified (or equivalent experience).
