We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a young professional who is looking for a like-minded individual to join their care team. You will be part of a small team of Personal Assistants providing one-to-one personal care and support for independent living.
Start: October 2026 with opportunity to start earlier
Location: Portland, Dorset (DT5)
Hours: Night shift 7pm to 7am
Rate of Pay: £17 p/h = £204 per shift
2 week rolling rota: NIGHTS ONLY - Week 1 Weds, Fri, Sat and Sun. Week 2 Weds and Thurs - lots of opportunity to cover AL and sickness if you are looking for additional hours!
About the Job: This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive difference in somebody else's life. Our client lives in her own home and requires assistance with many aspects of daily life. You will be providing night time support including personal care, assistance with therapy routine, medication, and repositioning throughout the night as well as helping her to go out and spend time with family and friends in the evening. The role involves periods of time where our client will be asleep and so PAs are expected to keep themselves alert and occupied during shifts with quiet activities.
The most important thing for our client is that her PAs are gentle and attentive, and that she can have an open and honest relationship with them. Conversation should flow naturally, and you should enable her to live the best life possible.

Care experience is not required as full training in our client's particular requirements will be provided.
About our Client: She is a kind, funny and creative person who loves to spend time with her friends, family and spoiled tabby cat. She works from home during the week and likes to spend weekends both at home and out doing things including going to the beach, shopping, volunteering, spending time with friends/family and lots of craft projects!
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A valid Automatic UK driving license (Essential)
- Access to your own vehicle (Desirable)
- Team player willing to cover shifts when necessary
- Proactive approach to working
- Physical fitness, patience, and a caring nature
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Mature and responsible attitude
- Fluent in English
- Clean and tidy appearance
