Senior Quantity Surveyor We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a portfolio of residential developments across Teesside, North Yorkshire and the wider North East region.

This is a key appointment within a growing team structure.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in commercial delivery, mentoring developing surveyors and supporting the wider commercial management function across the business.

The role offers significant responsibility from day one, with exposure to strategic land opportunities, infrastructure-led developments and large-scale residential schemes.

Key Responsibilities Full commercial management of multiple residential developments.

Preparation and management of budgets, forecasts and cost reporting.

Procurement and subcontract management.

Contract administration and contractual risk management.

Management of infrastructure and site-wide enabling works budgets.

Value engineering and cost optimisation throughout the development lifecycle.

Production of CVRs, cost reports and commercial performance analysis.

Working closely with Technical, Construction, Land and Planning teams.

Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff.

Contributing to the development of a high-performing commercial team culture.

Providing commercial support to senior leadership and commercial management.

Candidate Profile The successful candidate will demonstrate: Essential Experience Proven Quantity Surveying experience within residential housebuilding.

Previous experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level or equivalent.

Strong knowledge of infrastructure and enabling works budgets.

Sound understanding of construction contract law and contractual obligations.

Experience using COINS commercial management software.

Strong subcontract procurement and management experience.

Commercial reporting, forecasting and cost control expertise.

Experience delivering value engineering initiatives.

Leadership & Team Development Experience mentoring, coaching or developing junior surveyors.

Ability to lead by example and support the development of future commercial talent.

Comfortable taking ownership and influencing team performance.
