Vane Hill Care Home is a specialist service in Torquay, set across two Victorian houses overlooking Torbay.
The home provides structured, enablement focused support for adults living with mental health conditions, including Korsakoff's syndrome and Alcohol-Related Brain Damage, promoting independence, stability and wellbeing.
Support Worker Contract £12.71 per hour
Contracted to 34 hours per week (alternate weekends)
Bank (zero hours) also available
Day shifts and waking night shifts available
Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
Role Overview
As a Support Worker, you will provide high quality, person centred support within a specialist complex care setting, supporting individuals with a range of complex physical and mental health needs.
You will support residents with daily routines, including personal care, mobility and mealtimes, helping to maintain independence while ensuring safety, comfort and dignity at all times.
You will respond sensitively to changing needs, contributing to a calm, stable and supportive environment.
Working closely with the wider team, you will follow individual care plans, support structured routines and help maintain a consistent and well organised setting.
You will build positive relationships with residents, contributing to a safe and supportive environment that promotes wellbeing and confidence.
This role is open to both experienced candidates and those new to care who are willing to learn and develop within a specialist setting.
