Typically, this person will: We are seeking experienced Thermal Insulation Engineers (Laggers) to join our client on two long-term government projects in the South West.

HMP Channings Wood, Devon 3 to 6-month contract (potential for extension) BPSS Clearance required Initially 2 positions available, with further opportunities as the project progresses.

RAF St Mawgan, Cornwall 6 to 12-month contract (potential for extension) SC Clearance required Initially 2 positions available, with further opportunities as the project progresses.

The successful candidates will be responsible for installing thermal insulation to mechanical services, including pipework, ductwork and associated plant, ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities of: Install thermal insulation to pipework, ductwork, valves and mechanical plant.

Measure, cut and fit insulation materials to specification.

Install aluminium, stainless steel and PVC cladding where required.

Read and interpret engineering drawings and insulation specifications.

Maintain high standards of workmanship and health & safety compliance.

Work effectively alongside mechanical and M&E installation teams.

Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe and organised.

Complete work within project timescales and quality standards.

Essential Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Thermal Insulation Engineer / Lagger.

Experience insulating mechanical pipework, ductwork and plant rooms.

Competent in fitting metal cladding (aluminium, stainless steel and PVC).

Valid CSCS Card.

Own tools and PPE.

BPSS Clearance (HMP Channings Wood) or SC Clearance (RAF St Mawgan), or the ability to obtain the required clearance.

Strong understanding of site health & safety procedures.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Information: Rates are negotiable depending on experience , security clearance held, accommodation (digs) and subsistence requirements.

Typical pay rates range from £19.00 to £26.00 per hour .
