Special Educational Needs School
HG Recruitment is currently recruiting a Cleaning Site Supervisor in Taunton to support a Special Educational Needs School.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone with cleaning experience who is confident taking responsibility for the day-to-day organisation of a small cleaning team.
Pay & Working Hours
£15.00 per hour
Part-time evening position with a 5:00pm start , working approximately 23 hours per shift .
The role operates in line with the school calendar , including standard summer, half-term and school holiday breaks.
The Role
As Cleaning Site Supervisor, you will complete your own allocated cleaning duties whilst overseeing the daily activities of the wider cleaning team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out daily cleaning duties alongside the team
Coordinating and overseeing cleaning tasks
Ensuring required cleaning standards are consistently maintained
Supporting and providing direction to cleaning team members
Checking that allocated areas and tasks have been completed
Monitoring cleaning products and supplies
Ordering and replenishing stock when required
Using cleaning equipment and materials safely
Ensuring COSHH and Health & Safety procedures are followed
Acting as the day-to-day point of contact for the cleaning operation
Requirements
As this position is based within a Special Educational Needs School, an Enhanced DBS is required .
We're looking for someone who is:
Reliable, organised and confident taking responsibility
Able to oversee and support a small team
Comfortable working independently
Able to prioritise and coordinate daily workloads
Professional and approachable
Committed to maintaining consistently high standards
Previous commercial cleaning experience is preferred, with supervisory or team-leading experience advantageous.
Training & Support
Successful candidates will receive appropriate site induction, COSHH training, equipment and procedural training, and ongoing operational support.
