We're looking for a proactive Assistant Buyer to join a busy Procurement team, playing a vital role in supporting sourcing activities, supplier management and contract administration. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in procurement, purchasing, contracts or supplier management who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting sourcing and tender activities through e-sourcing platforms
  • Managing supplier onboarding, compliance checks and approved vendor records
  • Assisting with contract implementation, extensions and price reviews
  • Maintaining procurement catalogues and supplier databases
  • Analysing spend data and preparing procurement reports
  • Acting as a first point of contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Providing guidance on procurement processes and policy compliance
  • Supporting supplier performance reviews and contract management activities
  • Helping drive process improvements and procurement best practice

What we're looking for:

  • Experience within procurement, purchasing, supplier management or contracts administration
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • The ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Teams

  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent
  • A Full UK Driving Licence
