Interaction Milton Keynes are currently looking for an Operations Manager for one of our long-standing clients based in Newport Pagnell, Milton Keynes. The role is Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00, you must be able to drive and own your own car. You will be reporting to the Director of Operations.

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our temporary accommodation facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and effective delivery of services, maintaining high standards of service delivery, compliance, and managing the operational team. This role requires a proactive individual with strong leadership skills, a focus on operational excellence, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of temporary accommodation facilities, ensuring all services are delivered to a high standard. Implement and manage operational procedures, policies, and standards to ensure consistency and quality. Monitor and manage occupancy levels, maintenance repairs, and overall capacity planning.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team, including front-line staff, external contractors, maintenance officers, and our service centre. Conduct regular training and development sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging high performance and staff retention.
- Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service is provided at all times, addressing and resolving customer issues promptly and effectively. Create a cross-function collaboration for complaint resolution. Develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and experience.
- Financial Management: Assess and approve expenditures within agreed mandates and negotiate commercial terms. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality. Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate billing and payment processes.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards, maintaining a safe environment for tenants and staff. Regularly review and update health and safety policies and procedures. Ensure up-to-date compliance reviews and HHSRS standards are adhered to at all times.
- Strategic Planning and Development: Work with senior management to develop and implement long-term operational strategies. Deliver internal strategies such as Project 30 and Blue Sky Review. Identify and pursue opportunities for service improvement and business growth.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on operational performance, including occupancy rates, operation performance, customer satisfaction, and other key metrics. Analyse data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is desired.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in property management, preferably in the hospitality, property management, or temporary accommodation sector is desired.
- Skills and Competencies: Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to add commercially without affecting service outcome. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of housing regulations and standards. Proficiency in using property management systems and other relevant software.
