My clients are a busy high street 16th Century family owned Coaching Inn looking for an experienced Head Chef offering £40,000-£45,000 per annum to run an established team. They are looking for a head chef with previous experience in a similar environment. This hotel serves all day breakfast, brunch, afternoon tea as well as various functions.

The ideal Head Chef will have the following:

  • A hands-on approach
  • Ability to supervise, direct and participate in the cooking of food for the hotel in line with hygiene laws and to ensure food is prepared and presented to the highest standard
  • Experience in stock taking and management of stock control
  • Able to deliver food GP% to budget
  • Order foodstuffs required from approved suppliers
  • Good communication skills
  • Exemplary standards of personal hygiene and presentation
  • Ability to train and coach junior team members
  • Strong understanding of food health and safety
  • All temperature records required by EHO to be kept up to date
  • Recommend, from time to time, changes to menu, suppliers and prices
  • To ensure all equipment and working areas are maintained, through cleanliness and hygiene, to the highest standard
