The Job Youll Do.
Effectively lead shift operations, ensuring resources are prioritised and allocated to meet operational requirements.
Manage shift changes and handovers to maintain seamless operational continuity.
Conduct initial Safety and Conduct investigations in line with company procedures.
Carry out Return to Work meetings following employee absences.
Conduct low-level conduct and absence management meetings.
Ensure stock checks are completed accurately and on schedule.
Make labour allocation decisions and maintain accurate absence records.
Monitor and manage daily operational KPIs to achieve performance targets.
Lead daily operational meetings to communicate priorities, performance, and key updates.
Coordinate the ordering of PPE and workwear to maintain adequate stock levels.
Promote 100% shift participation in Unsafe Situation Reporting to support a proactive safety culture.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping across the operational area.
Escalate out-of-hours operational, engineering, and SHE issues to the relevant managers as required.
Work a rotating three-shift pattern, covering day, night, and back shifts to support 24/7 operations.
About You; Experience managing a team within an engineering/manufacturing environment Educated to GCSE level or above Additional Management qualifications are desirable but not required (IOSH, NVQ, NEBOSH, LEAN etc.) Committed to health & safety Act as a positive role model and set a good example Possesses a can-do positive attitude with a drive to succeed and motivate others Possesses excellent communication skills Remain calm under pressure
