Java Engineer
Salary: Up to £45,000
We're looking for a Java Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering enterprise-scale solutions for a range of high-profile clients.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a developer looking to build their career, working on modern backend applications alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative environment.
The Role You'll develop and maintain scalable Java applications while working as part of an Agile team.
You'll gain exposure to enterprise projects, modern development practices and cloud technologies, with plenty of opportunities to develop your technical skills.
What you'll be doing: Develop and maintain Java applications and backend services.
Build and enhance REST APIs and microservices.
Work closely with developers, testers and architects throughout the software development lifecycle.
Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and code reviews.
Follow best practices including clean code, CI/CD and version control.
Support the delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions.
What You'll
Need: 2+ years' commercial Java development experience.
Experience with Java and Spring Boot.
Understanding of REST APIs and backend development.
Experience using Git and modern development workflows.
Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Cloud experience (AWS, Azure or GCP) is beneficial but not essential.
