Spectrum IT are seeking an experienced Contract Analytics Engineer to join a leading business and technology consultancy client to support across a range of client projects.

You will work closely with clients to understand their requirements and translate these into robust, scalable data and analytics solutions.

You will also take responsibility for helping to lead projects, including defining scope, managing delivery timeframes and budgets, while providing technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced members of the team.

The role would suit an experienced Analytics Engineer who is comfortable operating at both a technical and client-facing level and who enjoys taking ownership of delivery while helping others develop.

Key Responsibilities Design and build modern data and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and Power BI .

Develop and maintain medallion architecture and modern data platforms.

Work with clients to understand business requirements and translate these into appropriate technical solutions.

Lead projects and workstreams, including setting scope, managing budgets and establishing delivery timeframes.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior members of the team.

Troubleshoot technical issues and support colleagues with problem solving.

Mentor and develop junior team members, helping them build their technical and professional capabilities.

Conduct regular 1:1s and support the development of team members where appropriate.

Work collaboratively with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

Essential Skills & Experience Dedicated experience working in Analytics Engineering.

Proven experience leading projects or workstreams, including setting scope, budget and delivery timeframes .

SQL DAX Power BI .

Microsoft Fabric .

Good understanding of modern data architectures.

Strong understanding of Dimensional Modelling .

Desirable Skills & Experience Experience working with Databricks .

Experience with Azure and/or AWS .

Experience with Dev Ops .

Relevant Databricks certifications .
