Bid Writer Job Overview
Manage bids and tender submissions from initial opportunity through to final submission.
Produce persuasive, client-focused written content for UK and international opportunities.
Review tender documentation and identify requirements, deadlines and compliance criteria.
Develop bid strategies, win themes and key messaging.
Coordinate input from architects, technical teams and senior stakeholders.
Manage multiple live submissions simultaneously.
Manage bid portals and monitor potential new opportunities.
Edit and proofread technical content to ensure consistently high-quality submissions.
Maintain bid libraries, trackers and standard company information.
Support improvements to bid processes, systems and technologies.
Bid Writer Job Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience within bid writing, bid management, proposals or a similar role.
Experience within architecture, construction, property, engineering or the wider built environment is highly desirable.
Proven experience managing competitive tenders from planning through to submission.
Excellent written English, grammar, editing and proofreading skills.
Ability to turn technical information into persuasive client-focused content.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Advanced Microsoft Word and Power Point skills.
Adobe In Design experience would be advantageous.
Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder management skills.
