A UKAS accredited Asbestos consultancy is seeking an experienced and qualified Asbestos Surveyor to join their busy team. They are ideally looking for someone to cover a range of domestic and commercial sites across the North East of England. We are accepting applications from candidates who are fully signed off for all survey types, who are confident in working across a diverse range of premises. Locations of work include: Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Hebburn, North Shields, South Shields, Whiteley Bay, Gateshead, Consett, Stanley, Chester-le-Street, Washington, Sunderland, Houghton le Spring, Seaham, Durham, Spennymoor, Crook, Bishop Auckland, Darlington, Yarm, Thornaby, Hartlepool, Middlesborough, Redcar, Guisborough, Stockton-on-Teas, Richmond, Catterick, Northallerton.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor, within a UKAS accredited company
- Will hold the BOHS P402 (or RSPH equivalent)
- Strong technical knowledge, including: HSG 264 and UKAS guidelines
- Able to produce comprehensive technical reports
- Adaptable to company travel requirements
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
The Role:
- Conducting asbestos surveys across domestic and commercial premises (including management, refurbishment and demolition)
- Safely obtaining samples from site for analysis
- Writing detailed technical reports, highlighting any risks and making recommendations
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, answering technical queries
- Adhering to set deadlines and personal targets
- Wearing correct PPE at all times
- Representing the company in a positive manner
