People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 3.5 Tonne Driver based in Kelso, Scottish Borders. This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing work and genuine potential for progression. This role would suit applicants that have worked in a role of Delivery Driver, Van Driver or Courier.
You must undergo a DS/DBS check for this role.
Shifts: Monday to Friday, Start times between 05:00 and 06:00
Rates of Pay: £12.71 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
- Multi-drop deliveries (approximately 20–25 drops per day)
- Loading and unloading boxes and packages
- Loading the vehicle for the following day's routes
- Ensuring all loads are safe and secure
- Completing vehicle inspections and reporting faults
- Operating a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van safely and efficiently
- Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
- Communicating effectively with staff at delivery locations
- Adhering to food hygiene regulations
- Monitoring and maintaining correct refrigeration temperatures
Essential Skills:
- Previous multi-drop experience (preferred)
- Valid UK Category B licence, held for at least two years (some points considered)
- Strong knowledge of vehicle operation and driving regulations
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify and report vehicle safety issues
- Good knowledge of road networks and navigation tools
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and use own initiative
- Must undergo a DS/DBS check (good repute required)
Desirable Experience:
- Experience driving commercial vehicles
- Basic food hygiene knowledge (training provided)
Training:
- Internal food hygiene training
- Vehicle maintenance and safety training
- Compliance and regulatory training
