As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant , you will support pupils with a variety of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, anxiety, trauma, and behavioural challenges. You'll play an important role in helping pupils feel secure, engaged, and confident both academically and emotionally.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Supporting children and young people aged 3-19
The successful Mental Health Teaching Assistant will deliver one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils regulate their emotions, improve resilience, and access learning successfully. You will collaborate with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to create a positive, nurturing learning environment where every student can thrive.
This Mental Health Teaching Assistant position is particularly well suited to graduates in Psychology, Criminology, Counselling, Education, or Health & Social Care, although applicants with relevant experience supporting children or vulnerable young people are equally encouraged to apply.
Working as a Mental Health Teaching Assistant will allow you to develop practical skills in behaviour management, emotional regulation, safeguarding, and therapeutic approaches while making a genuine difference to pupils' daily lives.
