Our Homeless Support Worker roles are support-based, focused on guidance, encouragement, and empowering clients to achieve their goals. The work can be challenging, but also truly rewarding - made even more so by the supportive, values-driven teamyoullbe part of.
Homeless Support WorkerEssentials:
A genuine interest and concern for homelessness and related issues
Ability to positively contribute to a team
Deal promptly and effectively with challenging situations/crises in a calm manner
Strong communicationskills, clearverbaland written English
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook,Exceland Word
Homeless Support WorkerDesirables:
Experience of managing a caseload ofclients
Understanding of risk assessment and person-centred, outcomes-based delivery
Awareness of the support needs of people experiencing homelessness or those with complex needs
Knowledge of voluntary and statutory agencies, housingregulationsand the benefits system
