About the Role
You will oversee the daily operation of a modern kitchen facility, delivering fresh, balanced, and appealing menus. You will be responsible for monitoring food costs and sales performance, managing departmental budgets, and ensuring financial objectives are achieved.
Working closely with the Catering Assistants, you will build and develop a motivated team, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently while providing high standards of food quality and customer service. Your leadership will help create a positive dining experience that encourages healthy eating and supports student wellbeing. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the Catering Department.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food hygiene, health and safety, financial, and organisational policies and procedures.
- Support and develop the catering team to consistently deliver high standards of food preparation and service.
- Monitor budgets, food costs, and sales performance to meet agreed financial targets.
- Promote a positive dining experience for students, staff, and visitors.
