About Our Client: Our client is a well-established construction contractor based in Fleet, Hampshire. The successful candidate will be working across Newbury, Reading, Basingstoke, and surrounding areas. The company delivers building, refurbishment, and maintenance services across a variety of sectors, including social housing, healthcare, education, defence, and commercial properties. Their projects range from general building repairs and planned maintenance to kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, mechanical and electrical works, and void property turnarounds. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work across the South of England, they are looking to expand their team with skilled and reliable tradespeople.
Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and reliable Multi-Trade Operative with a strong carpentry background to join the team. The role involves working primarily in tenanted social housing properties across Newbury, Reading, Basingstoke, and along the M3/M4 corridor, delivering high-quality maintenance and repair works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out carpentry works to a high standard (core trade)
- Wall tiling
- General decorating, including preparation, painting, and finishing
- Basic plumbing tasks, such as sink connections and tap replacements
- Installation of latex screeds and vinyl flooring
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, cleanly, and to a high standard
- Working respectfully and professionally within occupied properties
- Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining tenant satisfaction

- Proven experience in carpentry/joinery (primary trade)
