Looking for an opportunity to develop your accounting expertise within a supportive and collaborative environment? This is an excellent opportunity to join our team as an Assistant Accountant (Management Accounts). In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality financial support, contributing to reconciliations, budget monitoring and month-end processes. Working closely with budget holders, you will provide accurate and timely financial information, helping them to understand and manage their budgets effectively.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong experience in a finance or accounting role, demonstrating a solid foundation in financial processes.
  • Proven experience in completing reconciliations and processing financial transactions accurately with attention to detail.
  • Experience working with finance systems, such as Open Accounts, to manage and process financial data and maintain accurate records.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload whilst maintaining attention to detail.
  • A confident IT user with excellent IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel.

It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience of working in social housing or similar customer focused environment.
  • Experience preparing budget monitoring reports.
  • Knowledge of cash flow and treasury management.
