You'll be joining a nationally recognised healthcare provider that supports thousands of patients every year with specialist treatments in the community. As a Community Chemotherapy Nurse, you'll have the autonomy to manage your own caseload while building meaningful relationships with patients throughout their treatment journey.
As a Community Chemotherapy Nurse, you will:
- Deliver chemotherapy treatments safely in patients' homes across Cardiff, Swansea and Newport
- Undertake comprehensive patient assessments before and during treatment
- Administer IV chemotherapy, perform cannulation and phlebotomy
- Monitor patients throughout treatment and manage adverse reactions appropriately
- Build strong relationships with patients, carers and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation while delivering the highest standards of patient care
About you:
- Registered Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC registration
- Experienced administering chemotherapy in a hospital or community setting
- SACT Passport or recognised chemotherapy qualification preferred
- Competent in IV therapy, cannulation and phlebotomy
- Confident working independently with excellent clinical assessment skills
- Full UK driving licence
