Our client is a very successful manufacturing business and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Maintenance Engineering Supervisor (Electrical).
We are seeking an experienced electrical bias maintenance engineer to manage & control all maintenance and CAP-ex projects activities at a large heavy industry processing plant near Morden.
The Role:
- Overseeing all planned & reactive maintenance activities and some CAPEX project work.
- Maintain and develop the existing CMMS.
- Management & control of a small team of maintenance engineers and also external contractors.
- Plan, manage and control all maintenance activities and engineering projects.
- Effective Budget and CAPEX Project management.
- Monitoring, sourcing and ordering spare and replacement parts.
- Ensure adequate staff training, recruitment and disciplinary needs are met.
- Adopt a continuous improvement approach and help to deliver efficiency and cost savings where possible.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and HSE requirements.
- Provide 'Hands-on' assistance with electrical and mechanical engineering maintenance and repair of plant and machinery.
Candidate:
- You will be an experienced maintenance engineering supervisor / manager with electrical bias.
- Applicants will have previous experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector e.g. chemical plants, plastics, metals, quarry or recycling.
- You will have at least 5 years management / supervisory experience and you must be confident in leading a team of engineers and external contractors.
- You will hold a recognised electrical engineering qualification and ideally you will be trained in health & safety management to IOSH or NEBOSH level.
- You will have a recognised qualification in electrical engineering e.g. HNC, degree or 18th edition certification and you will have good knowledge and understanding of PLC systems.
- We are seeking a highly organised and effective leader who will maintain a visible presence on the shop floor.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday
