Freeway recruitment are looking for experienced Class 1 shunter drivers for our client based in Mirfield, the roles duties will include yard shunting and RDC work from depot to depot.
Role: Class 1 (HGV C+E) Yard shunter, RDC Shunter.
Job Type: Temporary/Ongoing work.
Shift Patterns: Mon-Fri / 14:00-22:00 / 22:00 06:00.
Pay rates: Β£17.50ph (Holidays accrued ) Β£19.61ph (Holidays Paid out).
Description: A variety of yard shunting, driving a dedicated shunter tug to service t railers. As well as shunting vehicles/trailers from depot to depot, Mirfield to Bradford and vice versa, occasionally other depots but not as often . Working either the afternoon shift of 14:00pm-22:00pm, or the night shift 22:00-06:00.
Driver must be willing to complete a registration form and attend Freeways office in Hunslet to verify details.

Be competent and able to follow Health & Safety practises and procedures at all time
Be reliable and hold excellent time keeping
Hold a flexible can do attitude to your work
Good command of English both written and spoken
Excellent communication skills
Keep vehicle is kept clean and tidy at all times
Have excellent geographic knowledge of UK road network
Have a positive attitude and a professional work ethic
Smart appearance, as you will be representing Freeway Recruitment & our client
check in transport before parking up for the night.
Qualifications / training / experience:
You must be able to provide the following.
Valid Class 1 driving licence
Valid Digital tachograph card
Valid Driver CPC card
Have No more than 6 current points on licence for separate 3pt offences (No DR/DD/IN Driving offences accepted)
2 work check-able work references
2 years Class 1 experience required due to insurance restrictions
