The successful contractor will play a key role in shaping solution architecture, engaging with senior stakeholders, and providing technical governance across a highly secure environment.

About the Opportunity
Working closely with customer stakeholders, engineering teams, development resources and governance functions, you will provide architectural leadership and technical oversight across the full life cycle of the solution.

Your new role
As Technical Architect, you will:* Work directly with a key government customer to support the delivery and ongoing evolution of critical projects.

  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across customer, supplier and engineering communities.
  • Lead technical discussions and customer workshops to gather, shape and validate requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and architectural roadmaps.
  • Provide 4th line technical oversight and guidance for complex customer issues.
  • Produce and maintain both high-level and low-level solution designs.
  • Assess the impact of functional, capability and security-related changes.
  • Review and approve technology proposals, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and best practice.
  • Support internal governance processes and CTO Office activities.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations on technical options, business benefits and cost-effectiveness.
  • Work alongside engineering and development teams to ensure successful delivery outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed
Essential Experience* Proven experience operating in a Technical Architect, Infrastructure Architect, Solution Architect or similar role.

  • Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing experience.
  • Experience leading technical workshops and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Background supporting complex enterprise-scale environments.
  • Experience working within ITIL based service environments.
  • Demonstrable experience working alongside software vendors, developers and engineering teams.
  • Experience providing technical governance, assurance and design authority support.
  • Technical Expertise* Microsoft Server Technologies

  • Microsoft Azure Infrastructure
  • Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)

  • Secure desktop technologies and secure operating environments

Desirable* Existing SC Clearance.

  • Experience working within government, defence, national security or other highly regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of secure-by-design principles and security architecture.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical services and platforms
