As our Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll work on R&D projects from concept through to completion, not just in the design office but hands-on with production and machinery testing. BASIC SALARY: up to £41,000 dependent on your relevant experience

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
As our Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll be working on several projects at any one time (2-3), at different stages with different engineering challenges. Your main duties will include:
- Detailed mechanical design of new machines from cradle to grave
- Re-engineer existing machinery to enhance design, manufacturing efficiency, durability, cost down and weight etc
- Prototype testing
- Internal stakeholder management with production
YOUR BACKGROUND:
You'll be an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer educated to likely have an HND or B.ENG in Mechanical Engineering. You will also have experience of some or all the following:
- Working on design projects from concept through to completion
- Competent using SolidWorks as your primary 3D modeling package
- Worked closely with production and test (DfMA)
- BOM's, materials selection to include stainless steel, aluminum and mild steel
