The Marketing Manager will be responsible for delivering and executing marketing campaigns that bring the Rohan brand to life across retail, digital and print channels. Working in close collaboration with the Head of Marketing, ecommerce and retail teams, as well as our creative partners to ensure campaigns are impactful, consistent, and commercially effective while within the established brand framework. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role with responsibility for day-to-day management of the marketing team - including creative, content, and marketing support functions. Developing assets and activity that enable our retail and ecommerce channels to meet sales targets, while also managing third-party partnerships, ensuring activities are delivered within agreed budgets.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar marketing role, ideally with outdoor, apparel, lifestyle, or retail brands.
- Experience managing a small team of direct reports, with the ability to support, guide, and prioritise.
- Strong project management skills, with proficiency in balancing competing timelines, briefs and delivery across channels.
- A collaborative and proactive working style; ability to work effectively with ecommerce, retail, and wider commercial teams.
- Confidence in briefing and reviewing creative work across multiple formats.
- Excellent copywriting and content development skills, with attention to brand voice and audience need.
- A passion for brand storytelling, outdoor culture, and connecting with customers through meaningful marketing.
About the role
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team, including creative, social, copywriting and marketing support roles.
- Promote a culture of creativity, setting expectations for performance and team accountability for achieving targets.
- Ensure team performance is monitored, supported and reviewed through regular team meetings and 1:1s.
- Drive clear communication, task prioritisation, and project ownership across all marketing team functions.
Campaign Execution
- Deliver integrated marketing campaigns in line with the annual trading calendar.
- Work closely with ecommerce and retail teams to build marketing campaigns and channel-specific assets that drive traffic, engagement and sales performance.
- Coordinate the rollout of campaign assets across key customer touchpoints: retail POS, website, email, print, social media, product packaging and advertising.
- Support creative briefing, project timelines, and delivery of final campaign materials in collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
Asset Management
- Co-ordinate the creation and delivery of marketing assets including studio and location photography, video content, product copy, social content and brand graphics.
- Ensure all content is consistent with Rohan brand guidelines and accessible via internal systems.
- Propose seasonal photoshoots for Director approval, ensuring collaboration with the Product team and channel leaders to ensure the product is presented as intended.
- Assist in planning and attending photoshoots, and in managing creative approvals.
Retail & Channel Support
- Deliver campaign toolkits and visual guidelines tailored for stores and ecommerce.
- Work with the retail and ecommerce departments to align campaign activity with commercial goals and ensure effective execution in those channels.
Marketing Planning & Reporting
- Contribute to marketing planning sessions and campaign schedules.
- Track performance of key marketing activities and support in the reporting of results, insights, and learnings to Management.
- Ensure all activities are delivered within agreed marketing budgets.
Copywriting & Content
- Write and edit brand and promotional copy across digital and print materials.
- Maintain a clear and consistent tone of voice aligned with Rohan's values and commercial objectives.
Partner & Supplier Coordination
- Manage day-to-day relationships with third-party marketing partners, print suppliers, creative agencies and media contacts.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, timely content in line with campaign objectives.
