The Role: Estimator

They are seeking a skilled and detail-driven Estimator to join their team within the physical-security manufacturing sector. You will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates, analysing project requirements and supporting the sales team with competitive pricing proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for specialist security products and installation services
  • Review tender documents and specifications to determine pricing
  • Calculate material, labour and subcontractor costs
  • Source and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations
  • Assess risks and ensure compliance with UK security standards
  • Maintain organised records of estimates and bid submissions
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Project Management and Production teams

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 years experience in an Estimator role (All construction backgrounds considered: subcontracting, contracting, manufacturing, roofing, M&E, flooring)
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar design software is beneficial
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
