MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and drive data products and services from inception to completion, including management and prioritisation of features backlog and constant iteration ensuring product delivery runs smoothly, on time and within budget and meeting commercial targets.
- Lead a cross functional team to promptly deliver new propositions to the market.
- Work closely with support teams across Customer & Product Transformation, IT and local business teams to identify the relevant resources, skills and training required to develop and integrate products.
- Engage with, guide and support the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board of Management (BoM) to ensure understanding and buy-in on necessary data products, including any monetary investment required.
- Fully own backlog prioritisation to maintain the product roadmap including prioritisation between new functional capabilities and addressing technical debt.
- Work closely with HQ to understand and influence the VWFS technology and data platform roadmaps to ensure technical capabilities required by the UK market are available in a timely manner to support commercial requirements.
- Either directly managing; or through the matrix structure support; the development, coaching, engagement, motivation and management of the team(s) to perform at their best, role modelling effective people leadership and enabling a positive and inclusive culture.
- Support the shaping and execution of the Data Strategy and Target Operating Model by promoting innovation using available techniques (e.g. proof of value, prototyping).
- Maintain close control of Data Product Team budget, expenditure and financial forecast.
- Define, measure and track realisation of benefits from data products.
- Ensure that data products adhere to data governance, data quality and analytics governance standards.
- Monitor adoption metrics and continuously improve usability and value, gathering user feedback to iterate and enhance data product functionality.
