As part of the Digging Crew, you will work on the Developer Services contract for United Utilities, carrying out excavation and civils work safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You will use your practical site experience to help the team deliver a reliable service for our customers.
You will be confident working on utility civils projects and able to make sound decisions on site. You will help keep the gang focused on completing work safely, correctly and right first time. You will work closely with the scheduling team to help ensure programmes are met and jobs are delivered as planned. Clear communication with colleagues, customers and client representatives will be important in making sure work is completed smoothly. You will also help keep records and job information up to date using the company’s business and client systems, supporting the wider team in delivering a professional service.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain high standards of site safety, including safe site set-up and the welfare of the public and team members.
- Use your knowledge and experience of utility projects to support safe and effective delivery on site.
- Keep the customer in mind while carrying out work, ensuring sites are left safe, tidy and professional.
- Demonstrate good timekeeping, reliability and care for tools, plant and equipment.
- Use Modular Plus on a smartphone to provide accurate job updates, including commercial feedback and reinstatement information where required.

- NRSWA Operative
- Under pressure drilling
- Deep excavations
- Mini excavator up to 10 tonnes; above 10 tonnes beneficial
- Full UK Driving Licence with towing entitlement for digger transport
- Safe Dig/Cable Avoidance accreditation (EUSR preferred)
