PROMAN is currently recruiting for an experienced Punch Press Operator to join our client's busy manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a well-established company offering competitive pay, a structured shift pattern, and long-term opportunities for the right candidate.
Pay Rate: £15.25 per hour
Working Hours: 4 on, 4 off shift pattern 07:00 - 19:00 Two unpaid 45-minute breaks per shift
What is a Punch Press Operator? A Punch Press Operator works with specialist machinery used to cut, shape, and punch holes into sheet metal to create a variety of products and components. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring machines to ensure parts are manufactured accurately and to a high-quality standard. Don't worry if you've only worked on one type of machine. Experience operating similar equipment is highly transferable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating and monitoring punch press machinery
- Producing components to specification and quality standards
- Performing routine machine checks and basic maintenance
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings where required
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
- Working efficiently to meet production targets
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience operating punch press machinery
- Experience with Trumpf, Salvagnini, or Amada machines preferred
- Good attention to detail
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
