Academics are supporting a secondary school in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire who are seeking a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to start fulltime from September.

The school are looking for graduates that are enthusiastic about mathematics and have a genuine desire to better the educational outcomes of the pupils they work with.

Role: The appointed Maths Teaching Assistant will work closely with the maths department to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4.

You will deliver targeted small group interventions, assist in lessons, and provide one-to-one support where needed to help pupils master mathematical concepts.

You will also help pupils prepare for important assessments and build their confidence in problem-solving and exam techniques

The successful graduate must

  • A graduate with a degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
  • A strong understanding of mathematical concepts and curriculum content.
  • Experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for education and helping students succeed.
