I'm currently supporting a well-established FMCG manufacturing site in the Wrexham area with an urgent requirement for a Materials Planner on a 3-month ongoing contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a fast-paced, high-performing factory environment, where you'll play a critical role in ensuring production runs smoothly through effective materials planning, scheduling, and supply chain coordination.
Key Responsibilities - Materials Planner Scheduler- Manage raw material and packaging availability to meet production plans
- Drive MRP activity, supplier scheduling, and purchase order management (SAP)
- Plan and coordinate high SKU variability materials across production schedules
- Own inventory levels, stock accuracy, and material flow optimisation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, procurement, and logistics teams
- Proactively mitigate risk, avoid downtime, and improve supply performance
- Experience as a Materials Planner, Supply Chain Planner, or Production Planner
- Background in FMCG, food & drink, or fast-paced manufacturing environments
- Strong capability in raw materials planning with high SKU complexity/variability
- Hands-on experience with MRP systems (SAP preferred) and supplier management
- Confident in short-term scheduling and production material alignment
- Able to hit the ground running and deliver immediate impact
