Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to move away from rotating shifts, nights and weekend working? The role
Reporting to the Engineering Shift Manager, you will support the efficient operation of production equipment across the factory. Your responsibilities will include:
- Fault finding, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment
- Responding quickly and effectively to production breakdowns
- Completing planned preventative maintenance activities
- Identifying engineering improvements that increase equipment efficiency and reliability
- Helping to reduce production downtime and recurring faults
- Maintaining accurate engineering and maintenance records using the CMMS
- Working closely with production colleagues to support operational performance
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
- Supporting continuous improvement projects across the site
About you
This role would suit an experienced Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will ideally have:
- A time-served engineering apprenticeship or recognised qualification such as NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent
- Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing, production or food manufacturing
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability
- Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance
- A practical approach to breakdown diagnosis and repair
- Experience contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of PUWER, LOLER and relevant health and safety standards
- The ability to work independently and remain effective under pressure
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Food manufacturing experience would be advantageous, although applications are welcomed from engineers with transferable experience gained within other fast-paced production environments.
