Main Purpose:
To support the Inventory Manager and Warehouse Operations Manager, assisting in the smooth running of the warehouse. To ensure accuracy of stocks within the warehouse by use of the warehouse Management Systems. A key aspect of the role is maintaining the stock accuracy within the budget set by the business and working with the Inventory Manager and Warehouse Manager to achieve this.
Please note that candidates must be a commutable distance from Wimblington to be considered for this role.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for checking of all stocks and regular stock takes in conjunction with the on-shift warehouse supervisors and in line with the QMS
- Support Inventory Manager and Warehouse Operations Manager through checking of stock and enquiries of orders from the internal customer service team and external customer requests
- Observe correct stock receiving and dispatch protocols
- Responsible for stock take procedures to ensure stock is as accurate as possible
- Assist with the administration of products on the WMS
- Ensuring accuracy throughout the WMS
- Assist with other administrative duties as required by the Inventory Manager and Warehouse Operations Manager
- Assist with warehouse picking and packing as required by the Inventory Manager and Warehouse Operations Manager
- Checking products on the warehouse management system to ensure stocks are correct
- Support the on-shift supervisors with checking of loads both inbound and outbound as and when issues arise
- Communicating with the transport team to resolve any stock queries
- Communicating with the customer service teams with any stock issues
- Communicating with other sites for tracking of any stocks
- Monitoring of the Inbox for stock requests by the customer
- Produce accurate documentation for stock checks
- Support with traceability of any stocks or unaccounted for stock including writing reports for traceability exercises
- Supporting the teams with auditing and ensuring that BRC accreditation documentation is up to date and effective
- Running reports to clarify any issues incurred in the previous 24 hours and to ensure stocks are correctly reflected following these.
Communication:
Contact internal customers to resolve any queries or problems that may arise. Responding to and dealing with both internal and external customer communication by email and telephone and in person.
Teamwork:
Encouraging teamwork within the workplace by displaying the correct behaviours towards all members of the Knowles Transport Ltd teams. Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safely and securely and reporting of any concerns to the Inventory Manager and Warehouse Operations Manager.
Must Haves (Qualifications & Skills):
- Minimum of 1 years' experience of working within a Warehousing environment
- Excellent administrative skills
- Accuracy and organisational skills
- Practical with a willingness to learn about new systems and processes
- Computer literate
- Good interpersonal skills
- Punctual, reliable and have a good attendance record
- Tenacious and willing to challenge to resolve issues
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with Customers and Co-Workers
- Strong Team Player
- Professional in appearance
- Must have own transport and full UK driving licence and own transportation to work
