Maintenance Engineer (Manufacturing) £46,000 - £50,000 + Training + Flexible Working Hours + On-Site Parking + Company Benefits Mansfield Are you a Maintenance Engineer or have a strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background looking to take full ownership of the engineering function within a growing manufacturing business, where you'll have autonomy, variety and the opportunity to make a lasting impact?

On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer, where you'll take ownership of all maintenance activities across the site, working closely with Production and Operations to maximise machinery reliability, minimise downtime and drive continuous improvement.

You'll benefit from a comprehensive handover and training period with the existing Senior Engineer ahead of their retirement, providing a rare opportunity to develop your expertise, take on greater responsibility and establish yourself in a key long-term role within the business.

In this hands-on role, you'll manage both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a wide range of manufacturing equipment including CNC machinery, beam saws, panel saws, edge banders, extraction systems and compressors.

You'll also oversee engineering projects, manage external contractors and mentor an Engineering Apprentice as you continue to improve the site's engineering performance.

This role would suit a Maintenance Engineer or Senior Mechanical Engineer looking for a varied position with genuine responsibility and long-term stability.

The Role Managing all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.

Coordinating reactive maintenance to minimise production downtime.

Fault finding on mechanical and electrical systems.

Maintaining maintenance schedules and engineering records.

Maintaining CNC machinery and automated production equipment.

Managing engineering projects, machinery installations and upgrades.

Overseeing external contractors.

Mentoring an Engineering Apprentice.

Monday to Friday with flexible working hours.

The Person Maintenance Engineer, Plant Engineer or similar.

Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.

Background within manufacturing or production.

Experience maintaining CNC or automated machinery.

Commutable to Mansfield.
