Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience

We are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Estimator to join a growing projects team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional with experience preparing accurate and competitive estimates.

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday. Flexible start times as long as you are doing 40 hours a week.

Key responsibilities:

  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents
  • Preparing detailed cost estimates for labour, materials and subcontractors
  • Obtaining and evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Producing accurate and competitive tender submissions
  • Identifying potential risks, cost-saving opportunities and value-engineering options
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams
  • Maintaining accurate records of estimates, quotations and project information
  • Supporting projects through the pre-construction and handover stages
  • Monitoring market prices and maintaining up-to-date cost information

Requirements:

  • Previous estimating experience within construction, fit-out, manufacturing or a related project-based environment
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with estimating or project-management software would be beneficial
